New Orleans Saints Relocating to Toronto?
According to a Toronto City Councilman, the New Orleans Saints are on the shortlist to relocate to Toronto. His comments, according to the New Orleans Times Picayune were: “(The NFL has) to take care of the problem in Los Angeles first. Two teams are kind of in play here: Jacksonville’s number one; New Orleans is the other. So there’s two teams. Once they take care of Los Angeles, we’re going to fly over to New York, set up a meeting with Goodell and give him our pitch.” The Saints quickly shot down the rumor, as one would expect. But is there really anything to this? It depends on who you believe. The most convincing evidence, however, is the fact that the Saints have leased their stadium, the Superdome, through the 2025 season, with a five-year option on top of that.
