Hayti lineman Craig Robinson getting major college attention
He may still have another year of high school left, but Hayti's Craig Robinson is already making a name for himself.
The 6-foot-3, 308-pound two-way lineman was the subject of an article by PowerMizzou.com recently, and according to the article, has been receiving attention from schools like Purdue, Oklahoma, Kansas, Kansas State, Vanderbilt, Stanford -- and yes, Missouri.
While those schools haven't offered -- yet -- Robinson is leaning toward Mizzou, where former Hayti standouts William Moore and Charles Gaines played last season, helping the Tigers become the nation's No. 1 team and lay the foundation for a national title run in 2008.
"I've been talking with Missouri about whether I'd be an offensive guard or defensive tackle," Robinson told PowerMizzou.com. "We talked a little about how they look at redshirts and how I looked at that whole thing."
Robinson was an all-state selection for Hayti this year, helping the Indians start 11-0 and be ranked as high as No. 2 in the state polls.
