Baston ready for starting role
Jaron Baston is no newcomer to the Missouri
defense. He's played in 27 of the past 28 games dating to the start
of the 2006 season.
But the Kansas City native's next game is a step up - the junior
tackle is expected to be in the starting lineup on Aug. 30th when
the Tigers play Illinois in St. Louis.
He replaces All-Big 12 tackle Lorenzo Williams, currently in
training camp with the Baltimore Ravens. As productive as he was on
the field, Williams was an emotional leader for last year's 12-2
team.
Baston is still looking for his first career sack but knows that
he can bring his own brand of leadership to a team already ripe
with them.
